Cisco Catalyst 9600 Chassis Overview 

These switches can provide up to 100G port speed for up to 128 port density for single chassis. Cisco Catalyst 9600 Series switches support granular port densities that fit diverse campus needs, including nonblocking 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable (QSFP+, QSFP28) and 1, 10, and 25 GE Small Form-Factor Pluggable Plus (SFP, SFP+, SFP28) and 10, 5, 2.5 and 1 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) and 100, 10 Megabit (Mbps) RJ45 copper ports.

Catalyst 9600 switches chassis has 4 slots for power supply and supports a mix of AC and DC power supplies.

Cisco Catalyst 9600 License 

The Cisco Catalyst 9600 switch licenses can be ordered and purchased on the Cisco software management website. 

Cisco Catalyst 9600 Smart License 

All product instances on Cisco 9600 switches can be enabled by Cisco smart licensing. Certain licenses can be purchased and registered within smart account on the Cisco Smart Software Management website or by using Cisco Satellite Enhanced Services. Moreover, Cisco PLR smart license is an available method to register your devices permanently.
